Nermin Nisic
Chief of Party, Georgia
Nermin Nisic brings over 14 years of experience while serving as Chief of Party on elections and civil society assistance project in Georgia. Nisic will focus on roundtables on election law reform, sub-grants to local NGOs and media outlets, direct assistance to the Central Election Commission to improve communications/outreach and transparency, trainings for journalists, political parties, and observers and voter education.
Nisic first joined IFES during the first post-war voter education campaign in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1996. Today, his specialty in public outreach, civil society development, communications, and project management enhances IFES’ work in Georgia. In addition to working in Bosnia & Herzegovina and Georgia, Nisic worked in Afghanistan, Yemen, Kosovo and Kazakhstan.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Business Economy Faculty in Banjaluka and is enrolled in a master’s degree program in Public Administration at the Faculty of Political Science in Sarajevo. Nisic is fluent in Bosnian/Serbo-Croatian and English, and studying Arabic language.
