Staffan Darnolf
Chief of Party, Zimbabwe
Staffan Darnolf currently serves as chief of party for IFES in Zimbabwe with extensive experience in election administration and strengthening the capacity of EMBs to plan and organize democratic elections.
Darnolf previously led IFES’ projects in Cambodia. These projects covered political finance and women’s participation in electoral management bodies. Darnolf also established IFES' work with the Electoral Commission of Uganda where ICT solutions were introduced to improve the national voters roll, as well as access to polling stations.
In addition, Darnolf previously worked as IFES' chief of party in Moldova, Pakistan and Nepal. In Afghanistan, he spent two years working as a senior advisor to the Interim Afghan Electoral Commission and as an international election commissioner seconded by IFES to the Joint Electoral Management Body. In addition, he served as an election adviser on IFES projects in Iraq, Kosovo, Nigeria, Zambia and Sierra Leone.
Darnolf holds a B.A. in Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Goteborg University, Sweden.
