Oksanna Abrahamyan
Deputy Director, Armenia
Oksanna Abrahamyan has eight years of experience within government and non profit sectors. She has demonstrated knowledge of and experience with political, social and economic developments in Armenia as well as elections and issues of public policy and administration in the country. Abrahamyan’s expertise lies in civic education, electoral administration and public relations, as well as experience with program/project management and personnel management.
Abrahamyan has been involved in various IFES programs in Armenia since 2002. She re-joined IFES in 2005 and served as Deputy Head of Office for "Strengthening Electoral Processes in Armenia". She has worked and administered IFES project on Enfranchising Persons with Disabilities in Electoral and Political Process (2006-2007) and currently works as Deputy Head of Office/Operations Manager for "Advancing Armenia's Election Management and Democratic Culture" project. Oksanna Abrahamyan has designed and managed grant-based projects involving public awareness-raising, media, research and educational components. She is experienced in the areas of participatory development, social and community mobilization through positions with IFES and the World Bank.
In addition, Abrahamyan has 12 years of research experience primarily in public health sector; she has sound knowledge of healthcare system worldwide as well as in transition economies.
She holds a doctorate in economics from Yerevan State Institute of Economy and has a background in teaching and designing MBA courses. In addition, Abrahamyan has authored and co-authored a wide range of articles on public health and socio-economical policies. Abrahamyan speaks English, Russian and Armenian.
