As democracies around the world increasingly utilize technology in their electoral processes, a key question, for electoral practitioners and election management bodies is how best to preserve the basic principles of the electoral process such as transparency and accessibility while benefitting from the efficiencies that technology brings to the process. IFES’ newest publication, Direct Democracy: Progress and Pitfalls of Election Technology, uses case studies and expert analysis to address this issue and provides recommendations on the deliberative use of appropriate technologies in the electoral process.

Please join Editor Michael Yard for a dynamic discussion on this issue. Print copies of the publication will be available at the event.

Light refreshments will be served.
